Concrete Flower Pot
- A flower pot or plant pot is a container (such as a pot) in which flowers and other plants are cultivated. Historically, and still to a significant extent today, they are made from terra cotta. Flower pots are now often made from plastic, wood, stone, or sometimes biodegradable material.
- A cheap helmet, typically not DOT or Snell-approved head protection device. We will visit you in the dirt garden.
- Cover (an area) with concrete
- Form (something) into a mass; solidify
- a strong hard building material composed of sand and gravel and cement and water
- cover with cement; "concrete the walls"
- Fix in position with concrete
- capable of being perceived by the senses; not abstract or imaginary; "concrete objects such as trees"
Spring plantings
We planted our Spring garden today.
Some of you may remember that the cats and I like herb pots while G likes flower pots.
For the cats and me I planted catnip in the concrete planter, and then basil and cilantro in another pot. I could not find oregano, rosemary, or lavendar. Perhaps it is too early to plant them in Colorado... or perhaps they don't grow well here, not sure.
For G, I planted strawberries in one pot and his second pot is shown here: dianthus, a swan violet and white columbine in honor of our first Spring in Colorado, and finally a Papaver "Wonderland Mix" Iceland Poppy. I'm not sure what color the poppy will be, but I saw an orange one at the garden shop which was beautiful.
